Vinny,

Slow day in work so decided to look you up... Bad news there about your continued shin problems. Im sure you will pull through, and you need to believe in that...

Anyway I joined Raheny in Jan, and im getting out with the lads for 2 solid run's per week. I run with one of the faster group of lads, which helps out with some of my tempo sessions. Iv set myself a target of a sub 3 for Dublin next year. Possibly i could do it this year, but im conscious of injury. Also looking for big improvment in some of the shorter races this year...

Anyway hope your keeping well? Nice seeing you at the Raheny 5, but why did you did have to stand on Watermill road, (the only up hill on the course)..

Keep the faith, and keep strong...
Dave.

PS.
Support a real football team like Leeds...

Well done with all the progress. 40 miles a week is maybe enough at the moment? I think believing that all will be well is more important than pushing it all the time. Hopefully the day will come when you are flying again and all this pain and struggle will be a memory. It's getting the balance between pushing yourself and just being happy to run that is the secret.
Tony.

Glad to hear you are getting better. I find your blog encouraging as I am a masters' runner trying to get back from various niggles and can see that it is possible. You need to run before you can race but it can be frustrating when progress is painfully slow.
